Held on November 15, 2018 at New World Hotel Petaling Jaya, the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards Series 2018 – 2020 Gala Dinner was a ritzy event with a guest list of all the who’s who in the hospitality industry. The awards dinner was also graced by the chairman of the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Yang Berbahagia Datuk Ahmad Shah Hussein Tambakau.
Continuing its tradition in recognizing and rewarding outstanding establishments and personalities with extraordinary drive, the passion for excellence and undeterred commitment to the industry, the panel of judges selected the President of Lexis Hotel Group, Miss Mandy Chew as the recipient of HAPA Leadership Personality Award (Most Outstanding) as well as HAPA Visionary Entrepreneur Award out of the 28 awards that was given out that night. These awards were well-deserved as Miss Mandy Chew has build a towering reputation in the industry as a fearless leader who serves as a benchmark to follow, improve and innovate from.
The award series organised by the WAP Group has gone regional, expanding to the HAPA Regional Awards Series in countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. The awards ceremony takes place once every three years.
