Lexis Suites Penang – International Coastal Cleanup Day 2019

In conjunction with the 2019 International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICCD), one of the world's largest annual preservation and protection events yearly, School of Management (SOM) Eco Volunteer of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) together with Lexis Suites Penang, Office of ADUN Bayan Lepas, Balik Pulau Member of Parliament Service Centre, Office of Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia, Pulau Pinang jointly organized a ‘gotong royong’ program taglined ‘Lend Nature a Helping Hand’ at the beachfront behind Lexis Suites Penang. Around 200 participants from various organisations partook in the program. The amount of rubbish collected amounted to a staggering 462.53kg as calculated by Aimpactz Social Enterprise. Lexis Suites Penang looks forward to taking part or even organising many more meaningful events like this in the future, in hope of spreading the awareness for environment preservation and conservation among the general public.
