The Green Initiatives, spearheaded by the group’s President --- Dato’ Prof. Mandy Chew Siok Cheng and Vice President of Marketing & Innovation --- Miss Samantha Lee, are poised to set new standards in the industry, promoting sustainability, and raising awareness among guests and business associates alike.
The group's flagship 5-star resort, Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson, blazed the trail by adopting this eco-friendly approach in mid-January 2024. Since then, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, as it not only minimizes the ecological footprint but also offers a more luxurious and aesthetically pleasing experience for patrons.
Following suit, the group's first-ever metropolitan 5-star luxury urban retreat in Kuala Lumpur --- Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, embraced the initiative in February 2024. The move to eliminate plastic water bottles aligns seamlessly with the property’s commitment to providing an upscale and environmentally conscious experience for guests in the heart of the bustling city. By doing so, Lexis Hotel Group demonstrates that sustainability is not confined to idyllic resorts but extends to urban havens, in a move that may prompt other hospitality giants to follow suit.
Grand Lexis Port Dickson and Lexis Port Dickson, two iconic coastal properties under the Lexis umbrella, began phasing out plastic bottled drinking water in April 2024. The transition towards reusable glass bottles is a strategic move to preserve the natural beauty surrounding these resorts, ensuring that their pristine environments remain untouched by the detrimental impact of plastic pollution. While each property within the group adapts to the initiative at its own pace, the group's only all-suite hotel in Penang – Lexis Suites Penang is currently in the midst of rolling out this transformative effort.
