Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Supports Earth Hour 2019
400 Tea Lights Candles Lit by Resort Guest and Staff to Commemorate Earth Hour
Port Dickson, March 30, 2019 - Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson participated in the annual worldwide Earth Hour in raising awareness of and taking action against the worldwide global warming issue on Saturday, 30 March 2019 for the second consecutive year.
The resort turned off non-essential lights and other electrical appliances in heart-of-the-house and back-of-the-house areas and dimmed the lights in public areas, restaurants and the resort’s exterior for one hour between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm. From 8:30 pm the main lighting in the public areas at the resort was turned off and remain on minimal lighting for one hour. Resort guests were encouraged to participate by switching off the lighting and any power or devices in their guestrooms and villas. By turning the lights off, the resort saved up to 754.93 kilowatt of electricity in a mere one hour.
