Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association – MITA Tourism Heroes 2023 Award
The President of Lexis Hotel Group, Dato’ Prof. Mandy Chew Siok Cheng was recently amongst the 40 top tourism players who were honoured as “MITA Tourism Heroes 2023” at the Malaysia Inbound Tourism Association annual dinner in Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 16 May, 2023. The award acknowledged Dato’ Prof. Mandy Chew’s achievement in spearheading Lexis Hotel Group to keep thriving in the face of adversity, as well as her contribution in keeping Malaysian tourism afloat.
As a platform to pay tribute to Malaysian tourism heroes – individuals who have greatly contributed to the revival and growth of local tourism after the significant impact that the recent pandemic outbreak had on the industry as a whole. The awards were given out at a resplendent event attended by the who’s who of the travel and tourism industry.
Amongst the VVIPs who graced the event was the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, YB Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan and Tourism Malaysia Director General Dato’ Dr. Ammar Abd. Ghapar.
